Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I love Sidi, and so do many other cyclists.

Merlin Cycles often has the best prices. https://www.merlincycles.com/en-us/b...in&gender=male

Went out to the Veloway this morning. It’s too twisty to even get a good base session in, but it was fun as a break from Violet Crown.

I did see a roadrunner but couldn’t get a pic. Also saw a tarantula and didn’t WANT to take a pic.

Another Sidi fan. They do tend to run narrow, so if you have fat 'mercan feet, you may want to get their "mega" which is wider. I am always on the hunt for their "S" sizes which are narrower than their regular, but getting harder to find.

Gone. I hope to never repeat that experience. Quite unpleasant.

Whereas I love red, and wanted this one because of that. If I were more into naming bikes I'd name it Red Hare, after Lu Bu's horse.

And VBulletin won't let me paste in Chinese characters. I'd make a joke there, but not this week.

Stock constantly changes, so check back frequently if they don't show your size.

Cycling shoes are very, very personal. If you're hunting around for deals online, be prepared to order a few sizes at a time.

I figured it was a preference thing. I just didn’t know if there was one brand out there that seemed to be favored more is all. Or if there was a shoe out there to stay away from.

Not really. I mean, there are a handful of major players (Sidi, Specialized, Shimano, Giro, Fizik, Lake, etc) that are well-regarded, but the issue is going to be fit. It's the same deal as saddles. Some people have an easy time and can get away with just about anything, but most go through a few before they find something that really works for them... and then they stick with it for as long as they can.

Are there any biker police that use real (i.e. road) bikes? Seems they would be handy for high-speed chases.
