What a great combination of old and new. A fine Tange Prestige hand made bike in my size, yet with modern components. I love to ride this bike!

Thanks - I'm old enough that these were the killer bikes when I was younger. I have a small stable planned.

The running gear used to be 6500, witch already was a great shifting group. But I didn't expect the difference to be so big, the 7700 shifters are simply fantastic.

whoa thats hot, tell us more about those lovely wheels

Only one now, but I have an exciting build on the way.
Can't describe the way this one rides. It's like a Porsche 911. After years and years of hearing people go on and on about what a great car it is, it is not until you drive one that you finally get it. I get it now.

Ciocc San cristobal.

It's pink/red depending on the light and fades to black on top and bottom. Apparently from the Ciocc custom paint shop, not a one-off, but definitely not standard.
Another view before she was sorted out:

I had a hunch, but I'm glad to see that I'm not committing some heinous atrocity towards the C&V game by putting new parts on an old frame

Such an awesome ride. Basically a 10/10 bike to me. If it had 2 bottle cages : )

thanks. you can't see it in those pictures but the saddle is actually moser branded too. happened upon it while browsing ebay on a slow day at the shop and bought it as quickly as the dial up would allow

as for the 1 bottle cage... gotta save those grams, man

It's more aerodynamic (and imho easier to reach) to put the 1 bottle on the downtube if you are really looking to make it faster.

Also that is one damn sexy bike. Maybe some of the modern traditional bend but compactish bars would look good on it if you can find some in the right diameter.

Lucky! You're aware those are 11s ready right?
So, how much do those Ritchey wheels go for? Do you like them?

Nope I threw my makeshift 8 spd cassette on there and off I went

Not really sure how much the Ritchey go for, I saw the clincher version on ebay for around $160-$200. I have them on my local CList for $170 or so with the Conti tires. We will see what happens.

They are fine, ride really smooth. In the back of my mind I just feared the hassle of having to deal with a flat/tire change that is supremely easier to deal with on a clincher wheel.....live and learn
