Considering picking this up for $500 but am not liking the long top tube of the 725.

Your cog is slipping.
500 bucks is a good price for that. What size is it? The long top tube is one of the things I like best about the 725.

The TT only slopes (slightly) on the smallest 49cm size, and that looks like a 51cm to me. The effective an TT is very long on mine, compared to my Pista Concept about an inch longer, and I'm using a 3cm shorter stem. That is the full-carbon fork, although IDK if it's the current version 2 or an earlier version. After cutting the steerer tube down with the fork crown race installed it weighed just over 1/2 lbs. That frame + fork + headset alone are worth $500.

Yeah, I understand that bike is a bargain but the problem is I am unsure if I will like the long top tube and since the seller isnt local, I cant arrange a test ride. As a bonus, both stem and seatpost are Thomsons.
Scrod - That frame is a 53cm.
TT - The frame pictured is supposedly 'brand new' and just in, it was a replacement for a defeat on his previous leader frame. The fork, I would say is probably not the newest leader carbon fork but the verison 1.

Maybe so. I think Leader measures their frames from the center of the BB to the top of the seat tube where the seatpost is clamped, and on the 725tr the seat mast extends several cm above the top of the top tube. The standover for the 53cm is listed as 744.3cm, which is only about 29.3", so their sizes run small relative to saddle height, but long relative to top tube and reach. So, if you are long legged and short torso / arms, it might not fit very well. I have a 49cm 721tr, and can easily stand over it with only a 28" inseam.

^^^ yeah. I think I am somewhat long legged with a shorter torso, which is why I haven't bought the bike on impulse. I'm not concerned about the stand over height at all, but the longer top tube is making me think twice before jumping on the deal.
