2012 Orbea Aqua Dama for the wifey. Caught way too much crap about leaving her on a 26ish pound Motobecane while I roll around on a Specialized Allez, and then a demo ride on a Cannondale EVO sealed the deal on her upgraditis. But now that her ride is upgraded I can start looking for myself!

Well after purchasing my bike right before the new year, I figured a new gear or two are needed. Since my bike is Black on Black, I bought Specialized helmet and shoes in White.
Expert Road Shoes
Propero II
Next up maybe a new Saddle - looking into either the new Bontrager Paradigm RL or the Specialized Romin Evo Expert.

Specialized sure does make their helmets bulky don't they? I always thought of road helmets to be a bit more low profile and streamlined than MTB helmets, but I have a 2006 Specialized MTB helmet and those road helmets look just as bulky!

I can tell you from 1st hand experience that having on one of those 'bulky' Specialized helmets when your head hits the pavement is very much worth it.

It's not as bad as the Bontrager Oracle. I thought the Oracle was it for me until I tried it on and started having second thoughts. Then I couldn't pass up a good deal when a local franchise had a sale for 25% on 2012 merchandize... just had to get that Propero II. Sure beats a 10% off of $180 (the Oracle).

New Gatorskin tire to replace a three week old Gatorskin tire that got cut pretty badly from something in a manhole cover I couldn't avoid going over. Also had to replace the tube and a CO2 cartridge.

Throw the stick!!!!
I hope it is worthy. I'm not getting rid of my 500 until I have time to play with the 810 for a while. I still may keep the 500 for racing.

I just picked up this bike from an old bike shop in NYC.. It had been up on the wall for 20+ years they said. I loved it from the start so I offered to buy it. It looks to be all original but what do I know.. I emailed Colnago some pics and this is what they said.
"Thank you for reaching out to Colnago. Based on the photos of the frame and the description, this looks to be an early 70s (most likely 1972) Colnago Super Pista. It was built with Columbus SL and SP tube sets and has a sticker on the seat tube commemorating the hour record set by Eddy Merckx in 1972. This is a beautiful frame with very unique lug work that is typical of classic Colnago frames. If you have any more questions about Colnago products or services, please contact your local authorized Colnago dealer. They will be able to assist you with all of your Colnago needs and answer any and all questions about Colnago. Please check our dealer locator at: https://www.colnago.com/dealers/ to find the dealer closest to you. If you do not have a dealer in your area, please contact one of our online partners:"
I know theirs tons of COLNAGO guys who really know. I just want to make sure. I will NOT be changing anything on this bike only the tires as they look to have a little dry rot on them. I will clean it up a bit to restore it to it's original glory.
Please Help.... Yes I will adjust the bars to their proper position. Take a look at some pics.
Thanks for your help.

More parts trickling in for my build...
I'm still waiting for the bottom bracket and front derailleur, hopefully arriving later today.
So, I was going to be done, but then I saw this on craigslist...
...and I figured "Why build one, when you can have two for twice the cost?" Of course, in reality, all the parts for the LHT are going to come off of another bike.

They're 25's. They fit with a few millimeters all around. I can snap a few pics of the tight spots this weekend if you're interested.
