I think I already knew it but my average ride is 50-60 miles. I might be able to really get in some rides if I weren't working full time........

I think I'm done for the year:
Total of 3452 miles in 2013, which is about 600 miles less than last year. 931 of my total were on our tandem with my favorite stoker. We've increased annual Screamer (tandem) riding by about one hundred miles each of the last two years. Bike commuting accounted for about 920 of the year's total mileage.

5,745.69 miles. All on the road. More than 2,000 miles less than last year, due to a nasty injury that kept me off the bike for over 6 weeks, some business travel, and a ton of crappy weather this year.

My last ride of the year today- a leisurely 30 miles on fixed gear for an annual total of 4,900, 2500 of which on our tandem. Too embarrassed to show feet of climbing

About 4100 miles and 180 rides for me. First time in years I didn't make 5000 miles. I did have some quality miles though and feel like I'm still improving. I had fun too and will make my 5000 in 2014 I swear.
i need to do some longer rides this year. That was really my downfall.

6,123 miles in 2013, well short of last year. 190 rides. I was able to ride 6 centuries this year, which is a record for me. Three centuries in a year was my old record. I rode tonight (12/31/13) and plan to ride tomorrow, so I ended the year properly and hope to start the new one properly. Happy New Year to all!

Rides: 585
Miles: 5,389.98 (on a goal of only 4,500)
Time: 346:53:11
Climb: 245,296
Avg Speed: 15.66
Max Speed: 46.10
Avg Cadence: 86
Max Cadence: 116
Avg HR: 136 (Zone 2)
Max HR: 171 (Zone 5)
The vast majority of my cycling is commuting (80% of rides, 73% of miles and saddle time), which explains why the number of rides is so high. The stop-and-go nature of my commuting also brings the average speed down considerably.
Beyond all the numbers, this was my eighth season. It's when everything all came together for me.
In late May or early June I finally experienced the coming on of "form". On club rides, after seven years of struggling along and being spit out the back of the slow group, inexplicably, I was leading the fast group.
Everything seemed to come from somewhere deep inside and it just flowed out easily, effortlessly. I also experienced when "form" wanes, and discovered how it waxes and wanes through the season. Quite different from always having to gasp and struggle. It brought an entirely new and different aspect to joy on the bike.

I stand in awe of the miles being posted here! After 3 years off the bike, a little over 2100 miles. That also happens to be my highest year since I began logging miles in 1995.

Goal 7,000 miles finished with 8,001. Most of those rides in hot and windy conditions although I did do some rides in real mountains this year. Set some speed PR for centuries in 2013 that I doubt I will ever break but we'll see.
Mile goal for 2014 is 7,000 with some touring thrown in and more brevets.
For those who live in colder climates I amazed that you get so many miles in.
