Yikes did you ride your roadie on that??? That kinda scares me alittle.
I'm sticking to the gym until it drys out more. But sounds like you had a great ride.

Took my mtn bike, but my friend, Mr. 40-miler (who I met on the trail), rode his Lemond.

It is much better than it looks. The snow is soft and you go right through to the cement. Not one slip in an hour of riding. In that hour, a lot of it melted even more.

Join us, don't stay in that gym.

Dnvrfox, your right, but me young one here has to work. So you go ahead and play in the sun. No sun for me when I get home.

OK, I played for 1.5 hours today.

Why is the bike, the biker and everything else so SLOW when it is about 40F or colder?

Did 100+ in TX this weekend until the wind and general lack of anything mentally stimulating made me quit.

Went up Deer Creek / High Grade this afternoon at a leisurely pace and loved it. That is, until I froze on the way down. Oh well, it was worth it.

I've done High Grade and various offshoots of it three days in a row now. Thank goodness tomorrow is a donut ride!

Snowy, give the road bike some love...

And yeah, happy new year everyone! Anyone have any good goals / resolutions for next year?

Resolutions are made to be broken. Thus, I use a bit of reverse pshycology,

1) Gain 15 lbs
2) Never ride my bike
3) No centuries.
4) No more cycling gear
5) No new road bike

SirScott you'll be happy to know I got in 26 miles yesterday on the roadie.
Did Lookout mtn down to Morrison over the Dakota Ridge, have to say it FELT GREAT getting back on the roadie. Mtb Saturday at Hall Ranch in Lyons and that was fun too, I wasn't feeling to great so didn't do the whole ride but it was still fun.

Glad to hear the rodie is getting some love again, Snowy.

I rode to downtown, then over to and up Lookout on New Years day. My legs don't like me anymore.

I rode from colorado and 120th to Westminster City Park with my son on Saturday. Beautiful weather. Unfortunately, a very cold and fast wind kicked up. My son was not appreciative of me forcing him back into his child trailer. We were only dressed in shorts and t shirts.
I bribed him with a treat at Target to make up for the sudden end to the trip.

Hey, does anyone know how far the Platte River trail goes to the north? I'm planning to ride up there on Saturday and was wondering if it goes past 104th.

Doesn't look like it - BTW, it is called the Front Range Trail in Adams County. It has been about a year since I was up there, but it didn't at that time.

Thanks, the "Bicycling The Greater Denver Area Route Map" that I have shows the Platte/Front Range bike path ending at 104th, but it seems like someone told me it goes further than that but I haven't been up there for quite awhile.

How about Riverdale Road and Brighton Road going on from 104th? Are those good to bike on?
