Singlespeed & Fixed Gear"I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five.
Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)
I'm getting really annoyed at the comments and pictures being posted up on Leaders FB wall. Almost to the point where I want to block them from my feed.
Ass builds and people love it, quality builds and people say: "n33dz t4rck dropz."
I have an Arione on my Mash. Im going Brooks on the 722. I may replace the seat post if the Thomson feels funky. Serious question: if you don't need the setback, why wouldn't a straight seat post be okay with a Brooks? Seems like you have to own a grand cru if you own a brooks

You'll see. Getting the angle and fore/aft is crucial with a Brooks and a zero setback seatpost will put it in the wrong place beneath your sit bones and will be in a weird position in relation to your cranks. You don't necessarily need a Grand Cru, but straight posts don't cut it for most people when using a Brooks.
Damn. I was afraid of that from previously having issues with my Brooks/Thomson combo on the leader, was hoping that was from the reach and drop. At least Grand Cru posts are pretty cheap. Thomson y u so sexy
