I take it those are 144bcd? The Shimano spider is 130.

No worries. I'm really surprised at how many of the black outer 52t are on eBay though...and how few of the inners. Chain wear over the years?

I'd think that's the norm. Most time is spent on small rings and often under more duress.

Hasn't stopped a bazillion NR and SR chainrings from surviving though...

That's cuz real racers ride Campy and live on the big ring. Plus They made more of them than any other model.

yeah, in part because the availability/demand has really changed over the years, as all the old geezers dropped down to the small ring and began to wear them out. Used to be the big rings were harder to find....

Where are you seeing small SR rings? I can’t seem to find a 42t in 144 anywhere!

Assuming the picture on Amazon is accurate, I'm looking for a Sugino (or similar) 42t chain ring in 110mm size. I want to convert it into a chain guard, so the teeth can be totally trashed (which is why I'm hoping for a used option, vs. plunking down $35 for a fresh new one). I think the 42t is the smallest I can go and still have the little "windows" in the mounting tabs (for some elegance!). If you have a trashed 42t silver ring in 110mm size, please let me know.

ISO/WTB caliper brake center rod/shaft.

Threads are busted on the center axle on my front brakes; I can no longer tighten the bolt. I was hoping someone might have a spare for me.

The part I'm looking for is pictured below, the model of the brakes is almost identical to this one (just misses the word brillant) - though I think a shaft from another similar-ish model could work fine too, as long as the length is in the ballpark.
