Scalpel 2000 (2002) worth this price?
Found a Cannondale Scalpel 2000 (2002 model) for sale in town. Dont have all the details yet, but he stated it was stock except adding crossmax wheels and thomson post. He is asking 1350. Is this a decent price? If its in great shape would it be a solid price?

if it's the complete bike I'd say thats not a bad deal.
I recommend searching completed ebay auctions to see what the going rates are.

Yeah, I did the search and noticed that some went in that price range, sometimes a touch lower - but not with the crossmax wheels.

Inspect it very carefully as the cannondale warranty will not pass to the used buyer.
I have a new one and love it. It runs through single track like it is on rails for me. Just enough suspension to do what is needed withpout over doing it for a x country bike. Mine has the lefty fork also but the headshock is good too. I have run headshocks for 6 years until getting my first lefty in 2000.

Yeah, the warranty issue has crossed my mind. Right now I have an 03 caad 4 f600 with the 80mm headshok. Its a great climber, so I would have to think about what the heck I would do with that if I bite on scalpel. I have no complaints with the f600 so I might stick with that. This might change later tonight!

I bought a scalpel 900 for 1299 a year ago. the 2000's are on sale for about the same as what you saw. Check Supergo.com
That's a great deal. I wish I had ponied up for the lefty, although the headshock is so nimble and light.
The Coda cranks SUCKED. I had them upgraded (shop did it at no charge 'cause they had had numerous problems with the codas on this model bike) The Julies are the next to go...but must say I love the overall ride ove this bike. climbs great.
that's a great deal for a 2000. I'd jump at it. have fun.
