Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need to get a better pic of mine, but I'm gonna wait til I swap out the saddle and bar tape. I've also gotten rid of that gigantic white headset top cap under the stem. But for now:

Here's mine, SL6 with RL tubeless, still need to get some better pics! That red looks much better with black instead of the white!

My last bike was matte/satin black. SO much easier to keep looking clean. No smudges or fingerprints or anything. Plus, I really like the stealth look.

Yeah, after my initial post on my bike I realized it's a very subjective look. People either seem to really like it or think it's plain/boring?! I like the fact it doesn't look like a giant billboard and in group rides most people have a hard time figuring out what it is without asking.

beautiful bikes, guys. Man, do I wish the one I could afford and looked at (SL6), came in the H1 geometry. My 1.2 that I upgraded from was already H2 and I was really wanting to get into something more agressive. It came down to the matte black SL6 and the matte black Venge. The price difference was only $150.

Yeah I swapped my 20mm headset cap out for a 5mm, then used a negative rise stem with no spacers. It got me where I needed to be. The head and seat angles are still right for me, so it's all good. But the Venge is a killer bike too!

Nice bikes! Just building up my SLR frame as it arrived last week. DA Di2 group and DA C35 wheels have been ordered. Look pedals, SP Toupe Expert, Bontragger bars and we'll be ready to ride. Pictures for sure when it's built.

That's the ISM Attack saddle. For me, it's the only saddle I've tried that doesn't cause my junk to go numb and/or doesn't cause nerve pain in my legs. I've been very pleased with it.
@Up North
The cages are 10-year-old Arundel Dave-o carbon cages. In the 10 years since I purchased them, there have obviously been some lighter cages that have come out. But I've never lost a bottle out of these cages, and they still look great, so I decided to keep them instead of dropping near $200 on some Bontrager XXX cages.

Finally got my position dialed in and got a decent ride in (46 mi). I have to say, it really is a fantastic bike. It's soooo smooth over rough stuff, and climbs so well. I keep wanting to grab a bigger gear than what I'm used to for a given segment of road. But you definitely have to have a light touch on the decents. If you manhandle the bars the bike gets a little twitchy compared to my last bike. But overall, what a joy to ride!

I can tell you that your's would be the first black/orange one I've seen. Either way you can't go wrong, get the orange one this Friday and you can say it's a Halloween present!
