i did something very similar! Marinoni knocked out this bike last week and I took a quick photo today-
i too researched installing a 10s 50-34 Veloce on this bike
I asked Marinoni for the curaçao colour on my 2001 Ciclo with a bunch of restored 1997 9-speed Daytona and Chorus- i'm now ready to ride!

Marinoni updates. I had both my Marinonis into my LBS this winter (my LBS is my son's shop, co-owned with two other partners, and he's head mechanic). My carbon frame just had a tuneup, wheel truing and some new bar tape; and the missing frame decal applied.
However my steel Marinoni (custom built frame), dating back to 1993, had a major refresh. First, the bike was stripped down to the frame and then the frame was sent back to the Marinoni factory for a full repaint; there was some flaking, some chips and more and more rust spots. I treasure the bike so I wanted to give it a new lease on life. The second thing was that the 53/39 Record crankset and my 59 y.o. knees were no longer compatible. Since the rest of the 9-speed drivetrain was fine, we opted to experiment with installing a 10-speed Campy Veloce compact crank (50/34). The installation was a success, so my knees should be happier. Lastly, it got a full tuneup and wheel truing, and some new bottle cages. The paint design is simpler than its original scheme, but it truly looks sharp. Now to find time to ride it... we received 70 cm of snow in a major storm Tuesday through Thursday morning. Mount Sutton, 10 km away, received a whopping 115 cm! So the bikes aren't coming out any time soon in spite of an early start on our crappiest bikes on Feb. 25th when the mercury hit +18C. Alas winter then returned with a vengeance. Anyway, to refresh your memories, let's start with what the steel one looked like before the repaint:

Thank you! It is burnt orange and I think it is matches my 2002 R1150R but I will need to unwinterize it firs to compare.
it looked red in the ad as well and not fast red as I come to like on the bikes. But when I got there and saw in person - burnt orange, dark brick, whatever
with nice matte silver subtle lettering

Here my custom 2018 Marinoni Piuma with the 44mm headtube and fork of the Piuma Supreme. My first made to measure bike. This bike is awesome !

Missing my late 80s Special. It's 500 miles away. I've posted the story previous, but an interesting purchase situation. I did a search of "Marinoni craigslist" and found one for sale in Florida. The listing was a month old and amazingly it was still available. My brother was cruising on his trawler a few days away from the seller. They met at a marina a few miles from the seller's house and my new bike was stowed snug in the V berth.

Since this thread is a little thin, how about bikes with paint by Marinoni?
In '83 I was working at a shop in Burlington VT and we did a brisk business in repaints, with the work done by Marinoni's operation in Montreal. We'd accumulate a few frames and make a run for the border to drop off for later pickup. I was building two birthday bikes for my then-girlfriend (now wife), a Trek 520 that had been through a house fire and a Chiorda mixte road bike that I was building as an MTB. She decided she wanted purple with red panels for the Trek and pink with turquoise panels for the MTB. I also got some brazing done on both frames and some chrome on the Trek. Both turned out very nicely. She later sold the Trek on consignment and the Chiorda to a friend whose daughter needed a bike to ride to school. Twenty years later the now-grown daughter no longer needs the bike and we got it back.

I didn't try but i think it will work for the frame itself but not sure about this specific fork. The Columbus FEL fork is suposed to have a 25mm max tire clearence. I gonna post few pictures later .

There is no such thing as a grownup that doesn't need a bike, especially that bike.

Not sure, but I think the model is a 'Classic'. Endurance / Touring geometry. 54cm. Sort of a restomod. My daily rider. This photo is from when I just completed the build, bike was not dialed in yet. I also added a rear rack. Super comfortable ride.

In the future, please post pictures that have been taken from the drive side. Being able to see the drivetrain facilitates identification, though in this case it is a moot point, as the bicycle has been rebuilt with non-OEM components.

Here is mine! 2015 Pista, Colombus SL, custom paint with "El Jefe" on the top tue (Seller's name was Jef, nice play on words...) But I love the color and the chrome though. For what I know, it's one of the last lugged frames made by M. Marinoni. He got back into making frames in 2014 for Marinoni's 40th anniversary and did some more in 2015. I found this BRAND NEW frame on a local Montréal Ad for a fair price (1200$CAN is almost half of what they were going for in 2014-15).

The frame of my 1993 Marinoni Corsa is there for a paint job ! I will put a new groupset and a new set of wheels on it soon as a get it . I'm gonna put a picture of it once the built is finish.
