Addiction LXXX

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

On the good news side, I can see a little better. The bad news is that I'll never recover full sight in the eye again, only "better" sight.
With aging and chronic medical conditions, it's typical that we "treat" problems and make them somewhat better. But we often can't "cure" them or get them back to where they were before.

I understand. I just wish that they could stabilize it fully which is the goal but so far they haven't achieved that.

It's now a Hello Bistro, which is a limited chain owned by the Eat n' Park people. Personally, I like to park before I eat.

They may need to stick around for post-election chaos. I hope none of this is necessary. Yes, the world sucks.

PA may indeed be the FL of 2020 and, as my father might remind me were he alive, things could always get worse.

Agree. And just as the nation is divided, PA is very divided. The difference between metro areas and non-metro areas is quite vast, based on the political signage I see on my rides.

On a brighter note, I got my partners to cover call for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday so I can get my weekend rides in.

My wife is heading out on a ride without me because I’m supposed to stay indoors today. I hate that.

I am expecting morning temps around 29 but it will be sunny and go above freezing within an hour or two of the ride.

It'll be 40Ί here by 0900 with a light breeze. Survivable...

Your wife is correct, but you knew that.

Food and drink in and out, and lots of purring, but he's bouncing off the walls in his little room. I just emailed the vet tech to ask whether she thinks it would be ok for him to go up and down the stairs when I am home and can supervise him. I feel bad when he can hear me home but he's locked in his room.

I have heard that, I have also heard the area between the 2 P's called "Pennsyltuckey," same idea.

I'm not even going to post the photo of one Trump/Pence sign I saw last month crossing PA. I'll just say that, if he exists, I don't think Jesus approves of the use of his image.

Same in my area, too, though it's actually less extreme than four years ago.

Finally getting off of my butt to sell a few lenses that I don't really use too much these days. Whenever I post a listing, I like to include pics taken with the lenses in addition to pics of the lenses. That in mind, I took the girl out in the Burley to get out of the house and take some pics for the ads. These are from a couple of 28mm lenses. I should probably process them a little more, but I'm not feeling that ambitious and I'll be pricing them aggressively, anyway.
