Hapsmo, still looking forward to seeing it when all done.
Parts for my build keep rolling in, at this point I'm just waiting for the wheels. Stuff today, new tires Bontrager R3 and bottle cages

This week bought the following to replace my Zipp carbon pieces (tired of the logos standing out against my Parlee Z5 SLi ghost matte paint)...
1. Thomson Road Bar (44 cm)
2. Ritchey Superlogic matte black post (31.6 / 300 mm)
3. 3T Arx Team stealth stem (110 mm)

I had the post and stem previously, for over a year on my old bike, then transferred to the current one...okay but not quite what I wanted for this bike, as shown here. The setback post always looked a little awkward to me. The stem was a little heavy. Life moves on...

A Royal Racing Minus Membrane Cap.
https://www.bti-usa.com/images/thumbn...6r/6r59111.jpg
Wanted one for a while but they havent found one at a reasonable price but got one today which was priced
at £19.99 but the assistant let me have it for £18.00 and it fits far better than the ones in Evans did and they were well overpiced £24.00 and above.
Also some very thick mitts as I have needed some warmer gloves and these will fit well over the gloves I have already and hopefully my fingers will stay warm the whole ride.

Can't comment much about the R3's but I bought a pair of R4's for racing. They lasted me all of one week. I installed them on Monday, and on Sunday during a race, there was a scare in front of me and everyone stopped pretty hard. My rear tire skidded and rubbed down all the way to the tube. Half a lap later the tube popped and that was it for me and the rear tire. They were nice though, good fast ride.

My shipment finally came in sans the fork. That's in a separate box and got delayed but it will take a few days to build up anyways.

Selle Italia SLS Black saddle
Carbon bars, different View

Just bought this 2009 Madone frame. And also bought a Rival FD, FD bracket, chain catcher, new cables and housings, and some in line barrel adjusters. I should be able to start building it up this weekend. I'll be transferring the rest of the Rival groupset over from my current bike.

My guess, is by next weekend. At least the first rendition. I still haven't decided on whether or not I am just going to put my rival group on there for now and until I upgrade piece by piece to Red. My other choice is to strip down my current SL Club (Sram Force) and but the Force on this bike and rebuild that bike with the rival. but then I risk being without my favorite bike for a while.
