SRAM SI crankset with XSync 32t narrow wide ring
I am refurbishing an old 26 inch MTB and i picked up this SRAM crankset. It has a 32t narrow/wide chainring.
The plan for the bike is it will be a 1x9. I am wondering if this 32t will be too small. I plan to use the bike as an around towner, nothing crazy. Paved trails mostly and roads. Front rack...panniers or basket and likely drop bars or swept back bars.
The chainring itself is one of those XSync narrow wide rings. It does say SRAM chain only on it now that i give it a good close look. I picked up the crankset for a measly $20 and thought it might work out for what i need. Will 32t bee too small and should i look for something else? I guess i could try it and see. The goal in the end is something like this:
