April 2017 100+ Mile / Km Goal Thread...Let's "Hop" To It!!
It's April, which means it's time once again for the 30 Days of Biking challenge. I'll be shooting for 250 miles over those 30 days.
April 01 = 14.05 miles.
April 02 = 12.08 miles.
MTD = 26.13 miles of (at least) 250 miles.
What are your goals?

This is the official start to my riding season. 400 miles a month from now til October, is my main focus. Got a 50-miler at the end of the month and no outdoor riding in the last six months means I have a lot of work to do!

Feb and March were atrocious for me; Jan wasn't much better. I hoping April breaks through as a great month.
Aiming for 200 or better.

Hard to set a goal for April, since the weather plays such a huge factor in how much I can ride outdoors this month.
That said, I'm going to say 320 miles total, 350 stretch goal.

I'm in! 400 miles this month. I have 100 already accounted for as I have a 60+ mile event at the end of the month. Now we train to get there. Weekends are going to be a mess as we have a lot going on, to the point that we may be restricted to early morning rides. I hate mornings.

Let's see....Between errands on Saturday, a club ride on Sunday and riding to work today, I have at least 40 miles. This coming Saturday is not looking great, but Sunday should be o.k. If the weather cooperates during Easter weekend I will rack up maybe 150 miles during a three-day camping tour.
Flying out to Montana June 17th for 13 days on the road so I need to get my butt back in shape.

Supposed to be cold and wet tomorrow ... and Thursday is only marginally better. But from the looks of things, Friday and beyond look good

Well, 2 rides and 2 bonks. A keto diet is no sustainable for us. We'll finish out the week and then back to a calorie restrictive diet while watching our carb intake. Now to figure out the right macros to strive for. 100 grams of carbs maybe? We're currently at 20 net grams.

If I might be so bold, take a look at "Eat Fat, Get Thin" by Mark Hyman.
I have lost 60 lbs on it since last August, and am able to ride long distances on the diet.
It is low carb quasi-paleo based. I don't feel deprived and I don't have the issues with keto diets.
Probably the only drawback is the cost if you go whole hog with his grass-fed beef theories.
