Kid seat for Cannondale Topstone Gravel Bike
Hello, new owner for a Cannondale Topstone here and wondering if anyone could recommend a child seat for me. Thanks!

Do you mean a saddle that is designed to fit a kid, or do you mean one of those old school seats that attach to a rear rack?

Apologies, I should have been clearer. I am referring to a seat that looks like a car seat that would attached above the rear tire. I see plenty on Amazon, but no idea how to figure out if they are compatible with my bike.

You might want to check out a trailer instead. I have ridden with bike seats that sit over the rear wheel, and the weight makes them very top heavy and prone to tipping. We have a trailer now and the neat thing is that the linkage between the bike and trailer is flexible, so even if your bike falls over, the trailer stays upright. Have pulled this around with 3 of my kids so far, and they all love it. Btw, Burley makes a trailer that's compatible with thru axle bikes.

Well if we are offering up alternatives to the old school seat over the rear wheel, then look into WeeHoo.
We had one for our youngest and she rode in it for about 4 years. At first it was any family rides, then it moved to just long family rides. The safety harness is excellent, being in the air helps keep the kid included in the ride(instead of secluded in a bubble), and there is a ton of storage for books, snacks, etc.
As for rear kid carriers, the ones I have seen use an existing rear rack. See the link below. Buy a rack, buy the carrier, and slap em together.

We have a Hamax Sleepy (now apparently called a Siesta) that we're really happy with. As has been said above, they make the bike relatively back heavy, which can make it a bit tricky at first. Also, you can't swing your legs around the back wheel when getting on and off, so that takes a little practice to master (i.e. not fall over).
