Looking good.

Leg warmers and no gloves is weird though.

Most people who know what they're talking about will tell you leg warmers go on well before the temp drops enough to require gloves.

Suppose I'm just biased since I ride with full finger gloves 90 percent of the time and you won't see me in leg warmers above 50-55 degrees. And I'd go for knee warmers first.

Yeah, I run the opposite way. Only wear gloves when I have to, but my legs are covered pretty much any time the temp dips under 70F. I also preach leg warmers like it's my religion: Fast Talk podcast, ep. 7: Cold, bare legs make you dumb, not tough | VeloNews.com

I had gloves on earlier in the ride. We started around 50 deg, and the climb was like 55-60? I was also chasing a couple coworkers so I didn't want to stop to take off my leg warmers. I can get gloves off while I'm still going pretty hard tho

Riding up Montezuma road during training camp. I cleared it under an hour for the first time, even with a somewhat conservative pace.

It's toward the top, but I'm smiling because I was flying and feeling great. I rode the first half with a tight group and kept it under control, then lifted the pace a little bit a just took off, passing a bunch of people who started too hard and blew up. Good times!

edit: As the pic suggests the gradient is lower at that point of the climb, so I was starting to feel some speed again and enjoying the sensation. Another excuse for the smile

A couple weeks ago I rode the Bike MS Coast the Coast in NJ. I was the first finisher on Sunday

Best photo (of me) ever. Not bad for an old dude on a fixed gear.

Training camp, before my crash. Weight is a bit down from normal and power is about the same so I PR'd the climb without trying too hard. Was aiming for sub 1 hr and was able to do that without too hard an effort. It would be interesting to drive out here and do a max effort sometime. I'm always too concerned about feeling OK for the mountainous 80 miles that we have to do after the big climb is done.

Passing riders who started too hard

Final 1/4 mile

Some raw footage from a recent trip.

Nothing spectacular but my mom likes to show her friends. They think I'm an "outdoorsman."

does this look fast?

Went to a buddy's house last night to optimize my TT fit (@wktmeow). It was fine on the trainer, but this morning during TTT practice I was sliding forward a bit and my knees were hitting my elbows, which made them flare out which is totally un-aero. Might have to push the seat back a bit.

During one of our two practice runs we clocked a ~30 MPH lap, which was good for fifth place for Fiesta Island on Strava. Thing is, the first four are all the same time from a different TTT team, so it's effectively second. Also, one of our guys is sick so we only had three! Maybe next week we can take it during our final two practices before state champs next weekend.

Also, don't worry, I have a fast front that I was riding today (Hed Jet 60, Corsa Speed 23C and a latex tube).
