I see this bike around campus every once in a while. It's not as clean as you kept it, but it still looks great, it's awesome bike.

Looks like it's in nice condition, quad-butted VALite frame, hi-ten fork, alloy rims, indexed Suntour, nice stuff. Catalog puts the weight at 26.4 pounds. Only thing I don't like: catalog says Hoshi "Unichrome" spokes, I take that to mean chromed steel. Stainless would be much nicer.
Sure it's not the absolute lightest but you even have two eyelets rear one front...you can easily do fenders and a rack...and it looks like you might have clearance for fenders if you don't go crazy on tire size. It's pictured in the catalog with 27 x 1 1/8.
Looks like a 110BCD crank too, makes gearing options up front a lot more plentiful.
And it's the nice silver variant, nice color. Is it local to you by chance? That'd be a deal too.
You could certainly do a lot worse IMHO, Fuji or not.

No wonder I can't get my hands on a nice Fuji; you and Scott have them all! :-) Excellent job, and beautiful bike! Congratulations on all of them!

Sure, it'd have to be stripped of anodizing and you'd want to be sure not to get powder in the taper but sure, why not?
