H+Son Archetype/Gran Compe SF wheelset

Anyone else have trouble with the subject wheelset from Retrogression? I was riding up a hill today, and snapped a spoke on the rear wheel.

Haven't contacted them. This just happened today. A lady was driving her gravel bike to a shop, and gave me a lift. I wound up getting the spoke replaced (they put a slightly thicker gauge spoke in) but was surprised how much the wheel went out of true when the one spoke failed. Curious if anyone else had an issue with these. I haven't broke a spoke since I road a mountain bike at 10 years old lol.

Ah, gotcha. I'm guessing that the bike shop stocks straight-gauge spokes for one-off replacements to keep costs down, and it replaced a butted spoke.

I generally hear good things about Retrogression's wheels, so hopefully this was just an isolated incident. If another spoke or two breaks, it might be wise to have the wheel re-laced (make sure the builder is good about stress-relief.)

I have had good experiences so far with my H+Son TB14/Gran Compe wheels from Retrogression so far.

I'm thinking at this point it was an anomaly. Maybe even a manufacturing defect with a spoke. The shop mentioned that it's a high tension wheel and that they retensioned the entire thing. Hopefully it won't come to re-lacing, but I'm not worried about it.
