Soviet goodness extravaganza!

If money were no option... Love the Soviet era bicycle stuff. Not sure why. Maybe the rawness of the copies...utilitarian nature.
https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?item..._skc=150&rt=nc

These are really interesting...where are the bearings exactly...?

No frills, baybee! Just thrills!

Love this piece. Obviously a copy of Campy/Zeus/Galli, but charming in it's own unfinished way.

Love the twist keys

Elegant Soviet/Moscow made shoes.

No doubt a minus on this one and a good reason to check first. Hate to see a kickstand on any CV bike...

Torpado contract-built a number of bikes folks may be more familiar with, including Italvega. They have a wide range of work and quality of frames they built. The model you're seeing is priced at more than 3x what you'll normally find any Torpado, I'd seen the top of the line Superlights sell in the $400-500 range in exceptional shape. The one linked above is non-original paint, it's been powder-coated so you literally have no idea what condition the metal was in before it was refinished, the tubes could literally be rusting out under the powdercoat.

It looks beautiful, I won't lie. I have a Super Strada myself, it's also really attractively built. I wouldn't personally touch that one with a ten foot pole for the reasons listed above, though.

Good set of catalog pages here: The Bicycle Info Project :: Torpado Bicycles Brochure circa late 70's/early 80's

How is the seatpost held in place? And why would someone hack that?

^^^^^^ Quill seat post, if you can find one the right diameter. That said, I wouldn't pay $100 for a bike so hacked, esp. with an aluminum frame.

That Concorde is nice - $700. Mix of parts but all are high end and the cranks are Mavic, which I think might command a premium price on their own.
