Do you actually ride your bikes? Or just spend a pile of cash building and taking gear porn pics of them to brag in a bunch of My (Insert Bike Name Here> threads?

I do ride my bikes, and actually these are mine but some of them are used by my family. We almost don't use our cars any more.😊

I have put on carbon post, handle bar and crankset. Also a lighter front wheel and a whole new braking set are installed.
The pictures are not up to date. You can see the original crankset is still there. As shown, total weight should be 1kg more.

Weight for the sake of weight is like art for the sake of art - not really practical. To use a bike in real life you need a bell, strap to hold folded bike together, lights, fenders, rack, bottle holder, other luggage provisions, chain guard etc. It is hard to imagine using one of those for art bikes in real life.

But this bike is not for practical use.

For me half the fun is building the bike. It’s making the bike work for me, not me fitting to the mould of the bike. So, GTA, you did a great job of creating a bike for you. Also enjoyed the photos, so thanks.

Everyone has his opinion and usage of a folding bike.
I like folding bikes because they are not like road or mountain bikes which are somehow limited by "building bike equations".
You can put so many of your personal ideas to your folder, and in the end it becomes unique.
I do enjoy doing this.
Cheers~
