Probably an optical illusion, but that headtube angle looks fairly slack. How does it handle at low speed?
yeah, 62x55.5 would be tight.

I need more experience on it to be more specific. A possible solution is a different set of handlebars??? And an ‘almost upright’ riding position.
Will likely start a separate thread seeking info. Still researching the brand.

Even with the saddle as far rearward as possible and 14cm stem, I still feel too far forward. And with hands so far from the steerer, steering begins to feel weird.

Frejus in Britain
"Designed by the Ghelfi brothers, the frames were sleek, modern looking and in some ways the antithesis of the British lightweight and its obsession with fancy lugwork. The unusual frame angles of 72 degrees for the head and 73 degrees for the seat tube created a short top tube that reduced torsion, bringing the rider over the bottom bracket but also producing a balanced ‘hands off’ ride."

I also know nothing of the brand, but here is a quick tidbit from Google:

This Puch has a pretty slack head tube compared to the seat tube. Here's a shot from today's ride - footpath to the Susquehanna in the background:
I just went from an 80mm stem to a 100mm. On today's ride, I noticed a slightly odd feeling at slow speeds.
However, at speed the bike felt very, very stable. Hands free was a breeze. I like that it feels different from my other bikes,
but not in a bad way. Just different.

While no more than three miles from home, visiting a local park lent the sense of being worlds away from the noise, crime, and litter found right outside my front door.
The short trip was another practice in climbing elevations, and a test in downhill confidence.
Arriving at the park, choosing a trail or a road from the map...
I took the “Old Fire Road” which was enshrined by evergreens, as well as deciduous trees not yet in their fall colors.
You can just make out the lower section of winding road here, on the way back down into town...
Breathing air this sweet smelling, and clean, was long overdue!

One of my favorite road signs! I love rides where shadows are long and pavement is in short supply.

17 miles this morning up thru Porter Ranch, north of LA, on the '73 Raleigh Super Course. Great day to ride, but, I didn't feel like joining the club ride this morning to Ojai.
I met up with this scarecrow in Granada Hills. 'Tis the season.

Yesterday, actually, was a beautiful warm day in Philadelphia. I'm sure many of us wondered if this would be the last day of summer for us. Clear sky, bit of humidity haze in the morning, temps in the 90s and lots of folks out using the trails. My choice was the Schuylkill River Trail from Oaks to the south end at Christian Street, then back. A great day on a great bicycle. Wind was blustery (sometimes a head wind and sometimes a tail wind) but then steady, strong headwind for the last 10 miles (out of 50). I loved it all. Enjoyed my picnic lunch at the north entrance to the Manayunk Canal, next to one of the large spill ways on the Schuylkill River. Nothing but river, ducks and forest as far as my eyes could see. BUT I could hear the occasional commuter train on the tracks up behind me and the large trucks on the Interstate, somewhere up in those trees across the river. Weird. Big smile when I thought about "they are going somewhere for work and I'm just playing all day". Dig it!

I have been taking a glacial approach to a couch-to-20 miler regimen, today was my 9th consecutive day of riding and I am up to a 12 mile ride. I could have probably gutted out a flat 20 miler on day 1 but I would have been wrecked based on my current fitness, or lack thereof, and I like my riding to be fun! As it is I am only a few rides away from doing a 20 miler and I have had enjoyable scenic rides to this point, I have been fortunate in that we A) have had mild weather into October and B) I have a flexible schedule currently so I can ride when its not raining. Today I went back to my roots, the Burke-Gilman trail which is where I rode when I started riding again as an adult back in 1999. 20 years sure does fly by.
Looking towards UW campus, in the other direction is a great view of Mt. Rainier but it was hiding today
pleasant day for a ride, 3rd day in a row in the 60s, not bad for October
My turn around near Sandpoint with views down to Lake Washington

This morning I went out on some errands downtown here in Ottawa, and took the long way home along the river and canal paths. I like riding the Peugeot, even with the heavy old steel wheels and worn hubs. The Simplex rear derailer works well, and the delrin is in good shape. I changed the front derailer to a shimano unit for peace of mind. This winter I'm putting together an alloy wheelset. The leaves are changing and the temps are dropping to single digits at night (Celsius I mean). Here's a few I snapped:

It sure did!
I'm still not used to how early the sun is setting, so I ended up getting a few night miles in last night. And I think it's time to put away the summer cycling shoes, my feet got so cold!
We had an absolute stunner of a sunset last night. Unfortunately my phone died from the cold right after this picture:

15 miles on the Interurban trail today, the good thing about riding outbound on a false flat into a headwind is that on the return trip you get to pedal easy in a big gear while the wind pushes you down a slight decline.

Had a great time riding sweep for a great bunch of folks Boogieing up the Bronx River today with the Bronx River Alliance. Attorney and advocate Steve Vacaro rode along, provided grub and swag, and shared some practical insights about the laws pertaining to cycling.

Celebrated another trip around the sun. Rode my age up into Lake County. Pretty much limited to riding on the weekends now, since it's too dark to ride after work.
It was 50 degrees when I left the house (was in the mid-80s a few days ago). Starting to see some fall color.
The North Branch of the Chicago River gives the illusion of being in the country.
One of the best things about fall riding is access to many of the beaches along the North Shore. During the summer months, most beaches are heavily guarded by gangs of entitled teenagers. Bike are forbidden and non-residents are charged steep fees.
The majority of the beaches are at the bottom of ravines, surrounded by high bluffs. The roads leading to the beaches offer some of the best hills in Chicagoland.
View from the bluff above the Lake Forest beach.
Lake Forest boat launch.
Road up to the top of the bluff.
More fall color on the bluff.
Convex mirror.

Pushed the new build, Fiorini. Maybe pushed too much with that compact crankset.
