Helicopters we got.

Bonus if the helicopter has a confusing sign on it?

This felt like the solar panel mission all over again. There's helicopters all over the place 'round here, I thought. Rode over to the podunk airport where there's a little training helicopter always buzzing around. Nowhere to be seen. Head down to the proper airport, where Mercy Air lands... not there. Over to the Airtanker Base, where there should be a big water-dropping Skycrane, nope, that's gone too. Okay... the County Sheriff's Operational Division (aka heliport!) Nuh-unh. Off doing police stuff, I reckon. Just about to turn home, I remember where there's a helicopter that can't get away.

The San Bernardino Regional Emergency Training Center. Sorry for the pic being rubbish-- I think everyone else should still try to find a pic of a proper helicopter.

I was thinking of flying a quadcopter over my bike, so those are proper copters.

Who cares if they are also propless copters.

mr_bill...thanks for that compilation of completed/assigned missions. I had been trying to find time to do that. I was also going to make a list of what/how many missions had been completed per member for and overall tally.

Can anyone tell me what model and year this is?

I have a Trek 730 multitrack. It's a darker blue with white letters and a grey shadow to the letters. Please help.

You might want to post this on the General Cycling Forum. as a new thread. There will be a lot more traffic there for you. I am not familiar with that particular Trek. Also, when you make the new thread, be sure you are very clear about exactly what you want from the group.

I'll go easy and say "artillery." I live in SoCal where everything is young, and can still think of 3 cannons within a 10 mile radius. Heck, there's a howitzer outside the VFW hall like 2 miles away.

Sitting this one out, so non-entry, but this (non-functional) howitzer represents musical instruments played for the Boston Pops each Fourth of July:

Just to be clear, do tanks count as artillery? There's one parked about 1/4 mile from where I work.

I'd say that tanks don't count. However, self-propelled guns and howitzers which look somewhat similar to tanks, do.

Non-entry as it is an old picture; it was my bike at the time and the bullets are artillery (shells.)

Now that's alotta 155s.

No tanks! Indirect fire only! Old-timey muzzle-loaders (i.e. cannons) absolutely qualify. Like the pic in post 367, most places have at least one piece of towed artillery sitting around somewhere.

One 5in 38 and a pair of 3 inch in the local park. The pair are overlooking the Mississippi and pointing towards Illinois.

Those absolutely qualify. Iowa aiming guns at Illinois reminds me of the recent tweet about the (British) Royals:

THE GOOD PEOPLE OF IOWA MUST LIKEWISE BE EVER WARY OF INVASION BY THE ILLINOISIANS!!
