Has anyone here installed or used “Ratio Technology”’s 1x12 wide upgrade kit? The kit includes a 12 speed ratchet that replaces the 11 speed one that’s in the SRAM 11 mechanical road shifter.
I’ve just ordered the kit, I’d just like to hear anyone’s personal experience with this product.

Good deal. Did you do the install yourself? If so, how did it go? Any issues putting the shifter back together? Did you get the forward exit, or the rear exit kit? What bike did you install it on? Which derailleur did you go with?

A 12 speed shifter has 11 clicks and an 11 speed shifter has 10 clicks.

I just finished installing a Ratio Technology 1x12 wide upgrade kit. It allows you to run a 12 speed Eagle drivetrain with a mechanical SRAM 1x group set still using the stock drop bar shifter/brake levers. Much less expensive than eTap AXS, which is the only way I know of to otherwise have a 12 speed.
I’m still waiting on an X01 Eagle derailleur that’s on back order, so I robbed a GX derailleur from my mountain bike for the time being. Swapped the 34T chainring for a 38T to take advantage of the wider range.
The instruction videos on Ratio Technology’s website were great, as were the SRAM YouTube channel for derailleur tuning and Park Tool’s YouTube channel for the bar tape instruction.

I've only ridden it around the block so far, I’m taking it up to WNC tomorrow for a proper test ride.

That's really neat. Looks 3d printed. So you modify the rear derailleur too?

Yes, you swap out the stock “cable fin” for a slightly shorter one that’s provided in the kit.

I like it too, but its specific to tire width. If you swap tire size often or try to share between dissimilar bikes, it’s not optimal. This one is perfect for a 2.2 inch tire.

I made one of these bike stands for washing my bike mostly and i use a shim for different tire sizes (going from mountain bike to gravel bike tire sizes)

Let us know how your bike performs with this setup? I wonder if the shift resistance will be higher and require more strain on the shifter?

I rode a 20 mile gravel route yesterday and it shifted great. I plan to ride it in a Southeast Gravel Series race Saturday in Greenwood, SC.
