Nice! Good deals pop up on Marketplace a lot here. My cousin scored a killer Sekai for 70 dollars.

Marketplace has become much better than Craigslist, and easier to use. It’s insane the amount of nice bikes out there that people will let go for cheap.

I am so tempted to sign up for Facebook just to see what deals I might be missing. But, I don't trust them and I have resisted so far. Can I sign up with a bogus name? Will that hurt my correspondence with sellers?

Any ideas?

sign up with your real name but put everything to private and don’t fill out all F the fine details. Nothing to lose

Awwwwww shoot!! NICE SCORE! FB Marketplace seems to have taken off around the very time I said 'see ya later' to all of FB after being on for a while. Oh well, it's not like I'm hurting for bikes! @ryansu, that thing looks a little closer to a 56cm (CTT) or 57cm, but I suppose it's in your range, so you're huntin'! And BC ain't that far away!

Yeah I was thinking it looked in the 56 range too, I am not hunting ROS, in fact I have sold 5 bikes this summer, but a Miyata 1000 would be tough to pass on if I saw that kind of a deal in the right size

Face Book! What a pain! Both my wife and I did our best to get the heck off of Face Book thanks to its incredibly invasive nature. She (my wife) and I were being inundated with friends requests from people who knew people. Anyway, Face Book is no more for she or me. That said...

Extreme congrats on one of the truly most wonderful vintage road bicycle to come along ever. My opinion, of course.

^^^^^ Does the serial number indicate what week or fortnight? Late enough in the year, a bike built in '84 would be sold as an '85. Esp. with Asian imports, since, well, they didn't fly 'em here BITD......
