Bianchi Fans, what's a Big Star?
It doesn't seem to exist online.
Thanks.

Is that the only spot with that “big star” decal?
Because it looks like it might’ve just been slapped on there by the previous owner.

I agree looks like a BMX or Skateboard sticker put on by a previous owner
PS figuring out just what it is requires a bit more information

Whatever it is, it's abused, neglected and heavily rusted.

You are right; Google says that Big Star is a skateboarding thing.
I'm doing this for a guy on CL, who decided to keep his Bianchi Virata, and is wondering if the mtb. is worth making rideable. I'm trying to get him to tell me what's on the seat tube, but first I had to explain which one is the seat tube.
And now I have to talk myself out of looking at another bike for me; it's only three blocks away! Don't know what a Montana Tri Sport is, but it has bullmoose bars on it.

I’d hate to make a judgment like that before all the facts are in

I remember the band vaguely.
Have no recollection of big star as a skateboard thing and I spent a significant part of the late 80s and early 90s fooling around the Brooklyn bridge arches on a deck.
Guess it was a west coast thing?

TBH, I'm not convinced that's a Bianchi, either. It sure doesn't look much like anything I've seen in Bianchi's MTB lineup from the 90s. Or the 80s for that matter.
