Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sorry, just joking around. I'm not into those Zertz seatposts, but otherwise it looks like you have it dialed in to your fit and good to go for a wide range of riding with some really nice stuff.

Hah, yeah I leaned it up against the outside of my neighbor's fence (I think he was in the middle of cutting it hence the trimmings around the fence).

I know the Diverge probably won't win many beauty pageants but I'll be damned if I won't do my best to spruce it up the best I can (a better photography job probably wouldn't hurt either).

Change out the seatpost and the stem, angle the bars down a little, could be hot. Color is hot.

This bike is hot! I somehow doubt I would be able to get any bike that hot! The photo makes it look really nice! It suits. I would love to see a better picture of the bike though. What are the specs of the bike?

That is some bike I definitely have to say! The better pictureakes it look really nice! Thanks for giving the whole specs! It must have cost some good amount of money but it was totally worth it as it appears in the photo! I have an addiction to Road bikes! I set my eyes on one I want and then I want another newer one and it goes on! How much miles do you do on it in an average month?

Thanks man!

Yeah I was very, very lucky to be able to put this together. When it comes to a healthy lifestyle, I seem to justify spending any extra coin I can put aside. Sure, you can be healthy with with a cheaper bike! I rode the crap out of my F75 before this one. But I can't deny how much more joy I get out of riding this one now!

I used to either finish or come close to finishing MTS challenges on strava which is 777 miles per month. Lately though I've been focusing on quality rather than quantity. I'm a tiny bit ahead of my goal which is 6000 miles per year which comes down to 500 miles per month. I'd say 420 miles of that is on this F1 the rest of it is commuting on F75.

That is a lot of miles still even though you didn't completely finish the challenges How accurate is Strava anyway? Like, is it good?! When you are ready you should increase your goal if you are going past it!

Wait! I need to ask something! I am a complete newbie with road bikes so don't judge me on it lol! Are your handlebars very low compared to your saddle or is that an intentional drop in handlebars?

Yeah honestly I feel like I'm getting stronger with shorter miles / times rides but with more intensity rather than long miles at a slower pace. So I don't mind it as much! I climb a good amount so that's good

Yes! My stem/handlebars are pretty much lowest they can go. "Slamming the stem" if you heard the term before. My saddle height has always been the same naturally and I had quite a few spacers under the stem when I first started cycling little less than a year ago. I was 83kg and not very flexible. As I rode more I lost a lot of weight and got more flexible so I recently slammed the stem. It feels great! Benefits are being in a more aero position obviously.

A Specialized employee's bike on instagram, this has to be the coolest Diverge I've seen yet, fully kitted out. Love the versatility of this bike, it's just as happy on a group ride.

Gumwall tires, seatpost, all the excess bags on it, bar angle, front rack, bottle cages, bottles. Remove all of that stuff, would look much better. Oh, and the bike is completely in the wrong gear. You never take a picture while it is cross chained. Pretty much everything about this bike is wrong for this thread.

Listen. I tour. In fact, I leave tomorrow for an eleven day tour. I don't think I could ever consider a loaded down bike as "hot." And, as mentioned, those sidewalls are ugly. For this thread, it's cringe-worthy. Post it in Touring and it would probably elicit praise from some, but not a "hot."

Fair enough. I like gumwall tires but agree that's a bit much.

I definitely couldn't consider this bike hot. But it is probably for touring so ya I see why it is like that but it would be much nicer without all the bags.

Typically in this thread, you want to strip your bike so everyone can see the frame and components.

I dig bikepacking tho, so I can appreciate the way a bike looks loaded up, ready for an excursion.

Still not a fan of the chainrings and seatpost however...the bike with the gumwalls and touring gear looks good tho.

...I like it, not race road bike hot, but otherwise for what it is I would say hot. It is showing it in it's cleanest best looking form and I would definitely take another look when passing it on the street.

The turkey neck seatpost and spacers/upright stem just make it unenjoyable for me. A butterface.
