Vintage Centurion Ironman steel road bike Japan - $99 (Bellevue)

1988, Ironman Expert 54 or 56.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/b...898763611.html

Vintage Centurion Ironman Road Bike Frame - made in Japan steel bike frame

This vintage steel bike was probably made in the late 1980s and hasn't been ridden for years. All the parts are on it, but because it is old and hasn't been used, it should probably be seen as a project bike. We aren't sure what the size is. The paint largely looks good.

Located in Bellevue, near Microsoft campus.

Has a cool bright-yellow front and forest-green rear. The 1988-spec Mt. Tam frame is quad-butted Tange Prestige. The frame listed here does indicate "Tange Prestige," but I'm uncertain of whether the 1986-1987 vintage frames were of similar spec.

Might make a very good base for a build-up.

Fisher Mt. Tam 19in frame, filet-brazed Tange Prestige, from 1986-87, $125/OBO @ San Francisco CA area, CraigsList.
This is a Hand made 86-87 fisher Mt Tam filet brazed frame. Frame is in good shape. it’s made with prestige tubing. If interested call.

Rivendell LongLow - $1449 (nw CT)

Built in 1999 by Joe Starck, painted by Joe Bell. Geometry spec'd by Grant Petersen. Size 58cm, shorter top tube (57.5mm) The sizing might appear to be for a taller person but I am 5'8 1/2" with an inseam of just about 31" and the fits well and comfortably. If you research Rivendell fitting you'll see that those folks rely on pubic bone height for a good indicator of size of frame. The sizing tends to run slightly taller for their bikes but ultimately, I have found, more comfortable. This frame was designed for a relaxed riding position for me. Your experience may vary. Bike has not been ridden in 5 years. You'll need new tubes and new hoods for the brakes and a general cleanup and lubrication.

Particulars:
- head tube ext 15mm
- Tange Rollerball headset
- Phil Wood bottom bracket and hubs
- rear spacing 130mm
- Triple chain ring 46x42x24
- SunTour Alpha 5000 Front derailleur--Triple
- 7 speed rear cog

- Rivendell Silver shifters.
- ESGE fenders
- currently running 700x300 tires. Maximum 700x350 with fenders removed.

Frame and fork are nice; as I remember the components were a mish-mash and well used.

I wish that were a Brooks saddle, but it looks a relatively cheap modern saddle with the appearance of rivets. I recognize it because I use them on builds with synthetic leather bar tape. The ones I had were branded Forte from the now-defunct Performance stores.
