Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Who's going and what are you running? Looks like it will be a muddy one...

It's four days away. Probably too late to fret over tire choices.

But, what the heck. 37mm Riddlers. And HBR is always muddy.

It's never too late to fret over tire choice. Well, maybe not never. But with the miracle of next day shipping I have at least one more day to fret.

And after that, I'll fret about tire pressure.

It's what gravel racing is all about!

I've run 45 Riddlers and thought they packed up in the mud. Hope the 37s fare better.

I've heard good things about the Vittoria Terreno Mix.

Apparently it's gonna be very muddy - even more so that usual. So I'm taking my old bike - it's already got fatter tires on it (43mm) and I'm less concerned about possibly doing damage to it.

I'm going narrower--36mm--to gain some extra clearance.

How’d it go for you?

I finished in a little over six hrs, covered in mud. I’m not sure there were any tires that would’ve helped yesterday.
