Riding with titanium l 4 vertebrate

Age 68. Lean. Titanium cage from the back bridging the l 3 and the l 5. Titanium plug from the front replacing the l 4 weight bearing column. No nerve damage. No pain. Still weak but walking without the walker and cane. Ten weeks post surgery.

I have been working the chest, shoulders, and across the back (not top to bottom) on the machines at the gym with low weights and lots of reps for four weeks. Today I used a life cycle on level one for 20 minutes. My first semi- cardio in five months.

Sounds like you're making great progress and doing all the right things for recovery. It must feel so good to be in motion again.

Welcome to the forum.

Rock on! Recovery from fusion surgery takes time. Sounds like you're doing all the right things. Hope you're back on the bike soon!
