Classic saddle bag for a slightly-too-tall-for-the-rider bike?
I recently built up a 58cm frame for myself, which is right at the limits of what I can stand over, but it was free and had the right top tube length. As a result, I only have about an inch and a half of seatpost actually showing. I've been borrowing a Carradice Carradura Maxi bag from a friend, but the dimensions aren't quite right for what I'd like, and I was thinking about something more along the lines of the Carradice Junior/Barley or Minnehaha Medium bag...but will those work for me without needing a Bagman style support? I'm using one of the Origin8 leather saddles with bag loops like a Brooks.

That looks like a pretty nice bike. As for the bag, I'm not sure what your criteria are. But if you are worried about clearance, if the bag hangs from the saddle the clearance above the wheel would be more or less the same regardless of the frame size. The wheel is what it is, and with a different frame you'd run the saddle to more or less the same height above the BB.

You have a quite modern setup. Why not try a Fairweather seatbag:

A minnehaha medium bag may drop too low and hit your rear tire Itll connect to your seat post just fine as that strap is high up on the bag
Fyi- the minnehaha bags thread thru the saddle rails and not the bag loops.
I have a minnehaha small bag on a brooks saddle and its funky that the saddle loops arent used.

The Barley will fit just fine. Mine seems to connect just under the saddle no matter what bike it is on. Never used the support.

You do as you like. But as said, your build looks modern-vintage and race. Carradice is much more old school and your ride will almost look like a vintage tourer. Carradice bags are wide and therefore not streamlined, the new saddel bags builds longitudinal and will therfore be "faster" and never touch you thighs.
