1991 (?) Trek 720 Multitrack Question...

1991 (?) Trek 720 Multitrack ?

I know that TREK re-cycled some of their model names and produced high, middle, and low quality and priced bikes with the same name.
I know that SOME of the Trek Multitrack 720 bikes were actually very desirable.
Is this one of them ??
Nice condition.
Made in the USA !!
Any idea of the worth ??

The 720 touring is very desirable - 531 frame, super long chainstays, cantis.

The 720 hybrid doesn't fall into that category. It's decent for a steel Trek hybrid, but nothing to write home about.

Steel hybrids have gone down in value. In the olden days, I would get $175-200 for the 720 hybrid fully refurb'd. Today, more like $125-150.

Beautiful riding bikes, they are desirable in the way they ride IMO as well as the ability to handle larger tires.

Thanks !!

I will put it onto the Toronto CL and Kijiji for $200 Canadian (about $150 US) and hope that someone has Christmas money burning a hole in their pocket.

I think it is newer than '91ish. Maybe later '90s? I think early '90s would have name I recognize like Exage, Altus, Suntour, some sort of under bar shifter and regular cantilever brakes.

You might find it spening some time on Bikepedia

Looks like a killer city bike.

If those are mostly original parts on it i.e. v-brakes, generic looking crank with chainguard (and most likely riveted), then nothing special. Just a decent rider.

It's a 1999 model in "graphite pearl" color.
