Looks great to me. I like the look of that Nervar crank. Does it have a 128mm BCD like my Nervar Star, which would make that inner ring probably about a 40T?

That looks like a 50.4 bcd Nervar crank. For the chain skipping, a twist tooth freewheel will likely help. So will dumping that campy RD for something decent like a suntour. That's what I did to my '73 Motobecane Grand Record I'm also running a 50.4 bcd Nervar crank (model 631 I think?) with 50/36 rings and a 14-28 5 speed freewheel. You can fit some righteously fat tires on these bikes.

In order to make n-record RD to work on 28T, you will need to move your wheel backward to the end of drop out. Your setup is too forward. This is the setup of my paramount

A skating chain can be a fresh chain and an “experienced” freewheel.
the freewheel you have also has a v channel at the top of the teeth, Regina did that and so did Atom with the Regina compatible freewheels.
meh performers.
‘Shimano probably has the best tooth profile. (Do not like admitting that)

lower probability would be a slightly bent derailleur tang.
loose derailleur body.

Beautiful motobecane, but that's redundant. All motos are beautiful!
