Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just bought the frame and fork and moved all my components (Shimano 105 group) over to it, which would make it comparable to the R-550. I think that bike is well worth the $699 that SuperGo is currently asking for it. It's light, quick and responsive, just like their description says. I got the 54cm (I'm 5'10 with about a 33" cycling inseam) -- from my measurements of the frame I'd say they are going by center of bottom bracket to center of effective top tube (which is higher then the top of the seat tube).

well.....I seem to only ride on road, but don't have a true "road bike"....I got a "comfort bike". A Trek Navigator 300 (2004 model).

After a significant amount of time and help from some buddies here it is, custom paint job (obviously ) and hand picked components.
I'm looking for suggestions on bottle cages (the Bonty carbons are way too $$$).
Specs:
2003 Cannondale R3000si w/carbon fork
FSA Carbon K-Wing Bars
FSA Team Carbon crankset 52-39, Ultegra BB
DA 9 speed shifters and deraileurs
DA chain and casette 12-25
DA SPD-R Pedals

First reviews are very light, tight and fast...what do you think?

If your goal was to "stealth" the bike, why not remove the Slice Si decals from the fork as well?

I guess my only goal was to put together a nice road bike. I actually stumbled on to the fork a little late in the assembly game, I liked them, I wanted to ride the thing already, so I put them on...

I had a crash about two months ago, and only now is my racer back in order. Ended up having to get new Record BB and cranks and I threw in some new wheels for good measure. This is my baby.

I finally got around to taking some pics of my beast, an early 90s (?) Univega, 6 spd (12--25) freewheel, Biopace chainrings, Aluminum main triangle, cro-mo stays and fork. She's a beast, but she does the job.

Laugh, smile, reminisce, as it pleases you. Here's my ride:

I ride steel frames and tubular tires so obviously I am not the sort of person with a digital camera...bummer. Colnago Masterlight (blue) with carbon fork, Campy Record, flite carbon saddle, Nucleon. Her name is Sophia.

My recently purchased Miyata 912. I've logged about 900 km on it but don't really know much about it, not even the frame size... I know it's 12 speed though

If anyone would like to share some info about this bike, please do. E.g. how old is it likely to be? Was $100 a reasonable price?

I've added new pedals, saddle and tape.
