The X100S is very tempting, and you're correct, it's either that or the 0.8 lb. I've already ordered the seatpost and that's probably it....... For now.

Nice. Looking forward to the build. I already had the Zipps, but if I didn't I would probably get some 2012 Boyd tubular closeouts.

echapp--you normally have a highly trained eye, and perhaps it was due to the poor image quality but there are indeed 5 arms on those rings. it is di2, however (racer ex--no wires except for the small RD tail!). those are proto shimano bars, and the stem is a proprietary design to run internal wiring and a round 31.8 bar on a shiv tt.

Wouldn't consider it "race rig porn", but it does its job.....desperately needs some deep wheels.

New team frame build. After a few rides I am happier with the set-up (more comfortable in the slightly modified drops) and love the tubulars. However, I hate the Force front DR. Neither I not the team mechanic can get it dialed in right....it seems to have a range of about three gears in each ring before it starts rubbing badly. Anyone else have this issue with a Force? Does switching to, say, an Ultegra FD solve it?

Goose - Don't understand the problem with the Force FD. I've got them on two of my bikes (one standard cranks, one compact) and they work fine, as does the Ultegra on a third bike. The bike sure looks sweet, though!

hmm - haven't seen pics of your bike for a while, but are the Dash saddle and H3 new for you? I seem to recall other bits last year, like maybe an 808 & an Adamo?

I also have Force group on my SL Club and don't seem to have any problems. It's really not that difficult. I actually thought it was less of a "Dial in" process than my 5700 setup. I feel like on all my Sram FD it's pretty much get the tensioning and the height/angle/true2chain adjusted and it just goes. I barely had to do much out of the box for a rival and a force setup.

Sram sent me a message telling me my Red group won't ship out for a month, so I took my wife's bike apart and built up the Venge. We ride the same size frame so she can just ride this one if she wants to go out. With the Ultegra group, cages, aluminum bars and stem, Look Keo Classics, and her Reynolds Solitudes it came in at 16.2lbs. It's no where near being done. Plans are new Red, Zipp Vuka bars, Zipp stem, Look Keo Max, and either 404's or Mavic Cosmic Carbone SLR's. We'll see what happens.

7250g as is. Still need to put on cages and tape for top of handlebar.

Unfortunately the stem will have to go as it's a bit too long, and i'll be using 110mm -73 stems instead.

indeed. Duracci 7950 SRM. I need it to know how paltry my power is.

OTOH, it's actually relatively light at 750g, though it is 165mm long.
