Next thing you know, there'll be a big stink about air in the tires. Some people.
Anyway.... So Chicago is now in France? Maybe it was built in Remulac (shrug).

Odd, at least.., Top end 30+ year old road racing bikes in seemingly excellent condition with a chain hanging loose , and descibed as triathlon bikes? with nothing but a price tad?
Now here's the opposite:
One of these bikes is not too far off in price...
Yep, after all the Masi/Mario/Medici fracas they decided to get away, accepting a generous offer from Tony Soprano to move to New Jersey.

More of a curiosity than wacky, but this is the tallest French bike I've seen, if it really is French. Rainbow bands on the seat tube make me think Gitane, but that frame size. Any guesses or definite knowledge on this?

Odd size? Checkhttps://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/bik...174842579.html
bicycle frame material: other/unknown
bicycle type: road
condition: new
frame size: 5 feet
wheel size: other/unknown
I am selling a new bike since I don’t fit on it (purchased it online which was stupid)! Anyone 5 feet plus 1 inch tall would be okay! I almost fit and I’m 4 feet 11 inches tall! So, I’m selling a new, purple and white bike with 2 locks - 1 key, 1 combination, and a tarp.. let me know if you’re interested!

Raleigh Grand Prix

Esperanza Springeth Eternale...
evidently an early example as it comes with solid axle hubs
head emblem hath gone walkabout which seller carefully doth mention not
nor doth he & she show its absence clearly in images provided
the fun here is in the valuation -

Not sure who's on first....
I'm sorry, were you talking about the Brooklyn hipster post directly above yours? The spokes appear to be "J-bend," I think, no?

That ^^^^^ wheel is not on the bicycle that's in the main ad photo. Main photo focus is about as sharp as a bearing ball, but you can still make out a black front hub.
So is it bait-and-switch fraud/scam, or just your all-too-common everyday overpriced laughably poorly advertised BSO? Inquring minds.... don't really care.....

Vintage Schwinn Paramount Racer in Excellent Condition - $3,000 (Seattle)
bicycle frame material: steel
bicycle type: road
brake type: cantilever
condition: excellent
electric assist: none
frame size: 55cm
handlebar type: drop
make / manufacturer: Schwinn
model name / number: Paramount Racer
serial number: P229
wheel size: 25 in
* Vintage Schwinn Paramount Racer Circa ~1955.
* Original paint, decals, and Modolo components.
* Reynolds 531 medium carbon steel construction.
* Single speed, owned by one person who took great care of the bike.
* A few scuff marks but in generally excellent condition.
* Piecing together serial number, Modolo years, and owner information bike frame #229 was built around 1955.
Plan to sell on ebay and expect price to be at least $3000. Thought I would try locally in Seattle first to see if a bicycle enthusiast here might be interested in picking up instead of me packing and shipping.
Respond here with questions or reasonable offers. Photos tell the story pretty well.
Thank you!

High trail for the win? Maybe should’ve looked at the BikesDirect assembly guide a little better. Tempted to message the seller but...... to open that can of worms?
