Addiction LXXVII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Left deltoid. Some injections are designed to go in muscle and some in subcutaneous fat. Ones for fat are best given in abdomen.

Apparently I'm going to need to start thinking about that.

Was diagnosed with a mild case a month or so ago. Not a fun time, I couldn't imagine having a really bad case of them.

I'm 30.

Wut.

Most of the ones I've taken say abdomen or thigh. I go with abdomen.

I just heard that RA patients tend to improve after bariatric surgery. Should I go for it?

I can't remember why, but I was made to give myself an injection in the belly the last time I was in the hospital. Strange.

This has become my once-a-week pitstop on the commute home. This town needs a LOT more courtyards where you can chill with your bike and drink a beer.

Shngrix is FDA approved for 50+. I expect it works fine for you young-uns but insurance unlikely to cover it.

Most likely was Lovenox to prevent blood clots.

That makes sense. Kind of foggy, but that sticks out. I'm not a fan of needles, especially when I'm in charge of the process. I wasn't sure why I had to do it, but I was just along for the ride at that point.

Best guess is there was a chance they would want you to get some even after discharge so wanted you to be able to DIY.

A guy got a case during my internship. I seem to remember us splitting his patients and call nights for weeks.
