I enjoyed all the bikes I've ever owned, each had its time and place. Most importantly riding can truely bring you into the moment.

I never have or EVER will like a bike with defaileur CRAP.
Most Canadians grew up with CCM SS, glorious trouble free motion. Yes, they were better than Raleighs.... I love heavyweights.
There is ZERO I like on store shelves. My biggest peeve with Pashley, is the high BB.
So I made a 46" WB custom tour bike for SA hubs and then TRP disc Rohloff14, everlasting SA dyno drum front hub, Phil SqT BB, swept old style steel comfort bar and a bunch of DIY CF addons.
GOODBYE adjustments, POOR shifts, daintiness and broken spokes.

I do so love being the odd woman out. I like comfort and class; speed just isn't my jam. But I do love riding.

Pretty Purple Princess Penelope, never quite finished.

Zoe (Washburn), my badass off-pavement ride.

I have owned 9 bikes over the course of my life. There were only two that I weren't fond of. One was a 1987 Schwinn Cruiser Supreme 6-speed that became an 18-speed when I moved to Colorado. It wasn't horrible, but I never formed an emotional bond with it. The other was an old Schwinn Varsity or Collegiate that I bought a year after moving to Colorado to practice bike mechanics on instead of my main ride (the '87 Cruiser Supreme). The Varsity/Collegiate was impossibly heavy, and even after I cleaned and repacked the bearings in the wheels, crank and head-tube, and replaced the chain, it was a sluggish dog. The down tube separated from the head during its final ride, but remarkably, the frame didn't completely collapse under me. I walked it home and chucked it.

So while I love my three current bikes, each in their own way..I've always felt there was a little something extra special about the way my 1984 Nishiki International rode. Even though I don't have a lot of experience with a lot of different bikes, I did test ride a couple dozen bicycles 5 years ago when I bought my last bike (a 2015 Charge Plug), and it made me appreciate even more the smooth, supple, responsive ride of the '84 Nishiki, with its slim, steel frame, and its slender front fork with its curve and taper. It's the only bike I've ever owned that truly "disappears" under me and becomes an extension of my body. With such a physical bond, an emotional bond is inevitable.

My favourite road bicycle was my salmon colour Velo Sport aero tubing frameset with a complete Shimano Dura Ace AX groupset including the handlebar on it. Unfortunately I no longer have the bike or photos of it although I've been on the lookout for a frame like that for years now.

Recently my favourite bike is my Miele MTB that I converted to dropbar with V-brakes plus interrupter brake levers. I've been riding it all winter and love it.

Cheers

Not sure how many bikes I've had - more than a dozen, less than two dozen. The one I've had the longest and the one I keep coming back to is a 1995 Colnago Tecnos, currently sporting a Record Titanium triple groupset and Ksyrium wheels. It's not the fastest or most comfortable bike I own, but it is the most fun. I'm also partial to the looks.

Like others, I have several bikes from different eras. My 2 favorites are 1960 Western Flyer 3 speed made in England and Sears 5 speed made in Austria. These are road bikes.

Favorite bike --- sentimental favorite - my first Italian bike -- Still rides beautifully - although the wheelset and tires need to be swapped for something lighter and more supple

2nd favorite -- everything good I can say about my DeBernardi applies to the Colnago -- Buuut -- has no sentimental value so gets edged out if I have to name just one favorite

Favorite bike to look at ? -- easy - this one

It's irrelevant for me. My tastes change on a weekly basis. I like all types of bikes. Currently, I own a Surly Cross Check setup as a hybrid, a Specialized Vado (ebike), and a stretch beach cruiser.

Undoubtedly my most recent purchase - a PlanetX Pro Carbon Evo. I hadn't expected that; I bought it to be my daily commute after I got rear-ended and decided I didn't want my classic Witcomb 653 bike to end up as scrap metal under somebody's wheels. Now that I've put a few thousand miles on the PlanetX, though, going back to either of my classic bikes is not a good experience. Leaves me wondering what to do with them, really, as they are both gathering dust (and rust) in the shed.

Of all the bikes I've owned, I'm going to go with a tie between my Grandis Superleggera with Nuovo Record, nicest tapered lugs ever, and my 1992 Klein TeamSuper, neither of which I have any more. Of my current fleet, for MTB's I'll go with my 1992 Rocky Mountain Titanium and for road my 2005 Bianchi S9 Matta.

If you're serious, you could re-home them on the C&V forum.

The Gripshift allows me to stay in the Aero position while shifting the Dura Ace front and rear derailleurs. The Dura Ace HS, BB, and hubs keep me spinning smoothly. The bike I ride most often is my opafiets. I don't have to wear special clothes or shoes or anything, I can just get on it and ride. It's overwhelmingly the most comfortable of my bikes and below about 18 MPH the most efficient. More: City Bikes | LocalMile

Next up would be my Scott Addict that I use for training and fast group rides. (no photo readily available)

Next would likely be my bakfiets. Here I'd ridden to the local petrol station so I can fill up our jet ski. I mostly use it for larger grocery runs or various other errands that require more than I can carry on my Opafiets but that don't require a car.

my 2000 Litespeed Vortex with Chorus 10 is the best bike I’ve ever owned, so makes it my favorite. I don’t plan on ever replacing it. Currently having the shifters rebuilt and adding some model year-correct decals to restore it to its original glory

Schwinn passage

Although as I have aged it`s not as comfortable as it once was...........
My favorite bike is my 1986 Schwinn Passage.

I`ve had so many great rides on that bike, and I`m still adding great memories with it.
