Can't believe the perfect saddle for me after all these years was this...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It is curved down a bit. I like that. I have had saddles where I would constantly snag the crotch of my shorts on the nose. It doesn't look that extreme on the bike as in the photo though.

I use a brooks imperial b17 black saddle, thousands of miles later it is better than all the saddles i have tried in 56,000 miles of biking.

Update: I just received the Velo Senso saddle today! It looks nice and does have the nose going down a bit like some others mentioned. Will try it out next week. I smacked my right knee commuting home yesterday in a small accident. So its a bit tight and sore so had to take a work from home day today.

@BikingGrad80, @Carbonfiberboy, @ptempel, how firm is that Velo Senso? I'm currently a Brooks guy -- so it can't be squishy -- but looking for something lighter with a cutout. Thanks.

Not squishy IMO. Not rock-hard, either. Absorbs some bumps and vibrations, but I don't feel like I sink in and get contact area that I don't want. Good saddle for doubles, etc. Doesn't give me a numbie.

Sweet! Just ordered one, thanks. If it doesn't get me to saddle Nirvana, I'm only out $39.

It is medium firmness.

I got mine too but my main bike is out of action after the aluminum part of my FSA SL-K light left crank arm with the pedal threads ripped out causing me to have to bike on one foot 10 miles to catch a bus. Ordered a 6850+BB to replace it.

My main gripe is the Senso is it is a bit heavier (40g) than the Pro SL because it has Chromoly rails while the Forte version has titanium.

Thanks for the feedback. If it agrees with my butt, it will knock 1/2 lb off my bike and that is no exaggeration!

This is my current favorite saddle:

Bought from Amazon for the princely sum of $14.16. I bought it with the intention of replacing it with an expensive LBS fitted saddle, and my only reason for buying it was "cheap + blue". I've ridden 4000 miles on it and have never felt the need to upgrade!

My Senso just arrived. Shell is identical to the Forte Pro SL. Shape of padding also seems identical, however the Senso padding feels firmer. The Senso cover has some BS piping on it, which I don't care for but it probably won't bother me.

Link. I don't think you are correct since I bought the last Forte Pro SL they had.

I didn't check online I just saw this that was stuffed in with the order I received from Performance today. I suppose it may be out-dated

I have Forte saddles on a couple bikes & didn't see the need for a more expensive one until I bought my new bike. The Giant saddle that came with the bike is horrible, a rock hard Fizik knock off. I picked up a real Fizik Arione Tri 2 off ebay for $70, super happy considering it was a crap shoot.

Never spent more than $30, and all the saddles are between 205 and 300 grams--which for a non-weight-weenie is a pretty light saddle.

Fabric Scoop for me. I can deal with all 3 saddle profiles, but am happiest on the Shallow version.

Still need to get off me arse and mount the damn thing. Will send an update when I do. At least my knee is feeling better so I feel that I can start doing some longer commutes from home to work again.

Just curious what you didn't like about the Butterfly saddle. Only minor issue for me is that it does have a little more padding than most. So it rears its ugly head when using shorts with more padding in the chamois. Works much better with thin chamois shorts, as far as I can tell.

Edit: Ah you said Fly. Different saddle. Don't know why I didn't pay attention to your post. -1 for reading comprehension.
