Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If Trek is Budweiser then I think Lemond would be a Michelob
and Klein would be Bud Ice something you don't see much of anymore.

How about this?

Trek = Miller High Life. The champagne of beers. Mass-produced yet faux-classy.

I don't think this quite works. I really like beer and I really like bikes. If I was told that I had to ride a Trek I would still ride bikes, but if told I could only drink MHL I would quit drinking beer.

This is typical of Bike Forums compare bikes to beers, and it results in a brew-ha-ha.

BMC = Ittinger Klosterbrau. Only swiss beer I've ever had, but really good.

Now granted, it's only a rough geographic approximation, but...

Trek Al = Milwaukee's Best
Trek OCLV = Milwaukee's Best Light

Motobecane - Blue Moon. A fake hefeweisen that makes you think it's from Belgium, but it's really a Coors product.

I'm not too sure about Motobecane but Blue Moon is a good beer no matter who makes it.

Blue Moon is, after all, just a rebadged Corsendonk.

LeMond = S.O.B. Ale (Special Old Bitter). Pretty much sums it up, no?
