I honestly wouldn't give you $200 for it. I have seen too many focus cars fall apart. Had a friend with an 06 that just fell apart. So many problems too. Ford is an acronym for Fixed Or Repaird Daily.

You're better off keeping that car. Champion of reliability.
Protip: use a club if you haven't already; the key cylinders to the ignition are one of the first things that wear out on those and we all know another country that is conveniently located right next to us that loves them as well that's not canada.

We learn from our mistakes. You probably won't buy another ford. Perfect for this thread though, a Ford Focus is so Jackass.

The only time I could see myself buying a car made in the USA would be if my wife ever let me get a Dodge Challenger. Mmmmmmm, me want.

Does letting your sw8 fixay chop off your fingers qualify as jackass? Maybe immediately taking & posting a pic before before doing anything else even is more JA?

Holy freakin' WTF?!?!?!
Hi,
I have a really nice Serotta with a build sheet that says it takes a 45 mm rake fork. But I have a 43 Enve 2.0, so I've been reading about epoxy and experimenting with ways to just gently bend that fork a bit deeper.
First I was using a propane torch, running it up and down while I had the fork ends clamped against a spare hub and quick release in a vise, then I'd push and see if it would budge. It hasn't worked great, and there's been a little bubbling and singeing. So I switched to a paint stripping hot *** and put a really long pipe over the steer tube to get more leverage after things get hot. It seemed to bend a bit. I think I am sitting on at least a 44 rake, but one of the legs has deformed a bit.
Am I on the right track here? Would a solvent help somewhat? I've read that you can't coldset carbon fiber.
I've started to test ride the modified fork and it really seems to shimmy and be a bit weird at high speed, like over 45 mph down the hills, and also acts weird with firm front braking.

Worth reading as is, but I think that thread would benefit from more input from the SSFG crew.
