Opinions on the pricing of this bike? The brooks looks in nice condition.

Very fair pricing. TA triple crank; requires special remover. Early cyclone RD. If your intended use is as a rider, buy. Looks like it needs overhaul/work, though.

$200 seems a little high the bike has some issues. Very nice but looks like a build up a lot of random parts and the setup is wrong seat and stem too high and bars brakes not good. Plus issues with the Symmetric top shifter. The camed trime control was great in concept but just awfull in use.

For a personal bike, I wouldn't have any problem paying $200 for that. I see the Brooks & the TA crank/BB as worth over half of the asking price. I like the Suntour as well. It would need an overhaul, but I like doing stuff like that.

$200 is a deal. Between the Brooks, the TA crankset, and the first generation Cyclone, it covers the price. At that point, the rest of the bike is free, and you have a decent frameset, set of wheels, brakes, levers, etc.

+1

Looks dirty and like it needs an overhaul, but still a good deal. The parts alone are well worth it.

That looks like a pretty good deal to me. However, I a cheapskate so unless the posting indicates the seller is firm on the price, I always make an offer that is 10% to 20% less than the asking price. As previously mentioned the saddle and crankset are pretty nice. I have some similar cyclone components and they work great. I also have a bike with the symmetric shifters and really haven't had any problems. They aren't the greatest shifters but not that bad either.

Oh yeah...one other thing. Before buying a classic bike like this I always make sure and inspect the tires close. They may hold air just fine but if the rubber is cracked or showing signs of wear, they should be replaced right away. Tires can easily cost you $40 to $50.
