Garden State Gran Fondo

I signed up to do the Garden State Gran Fondo this year and I was wondering if anyone here has any experience doing this? I'm going to do the 60+something ride with a couple of timed climbs in it. I wanted to know if anyone who has ridden this event can share thoughts on hills e.g. how long / steep. Is this even like a "charity ride" e.g. large group with a couple of packs of pace lines? How aggressive are folks on this, it says it's not a race but...

Thanks.
