I own a dual sport 2 and I like it a lot, the ride is very comfortable and for the most part it's an upright riding position. I was looking at the Trek Verve and noticed it has an adjustable stem and handlebars, was wondering if I could get something like that on my dual sport 2?

Of course you can, they come in different shapes and sizes. But if your current position on the bike fits you and you're the only one riding it, I see no reason to replace the current stem with an adjustable one.

Not all are created equal. Get one that requires complete disassembly in order to move.

I would agree, I wouldn't want it to move. What I'm looking for is something even more upright. I moved my seat forward a bit and tweaked my riding position the best I can while still maintaining comfort, but I want to get even more upright if possible. Can I order any online and what one would you suggest? (link?)

I got this from Amazon (by mistake -- I ordered a non-adjustable one). However, it is far better than a previous one I threw in the trash after it slipped and almost caused my kid to crash.

I have a 2019 DS3 and that Ritchey adjustable stem works on mine just fine. Like wgscott said this is a stiff adjustable one which is a good thing. Not at all like what comes on the Trek Verve which has a one screw adjustment. I might add if you want to adjust the Ritchey you'll need to completely loosen the screws to do so which means you'll end up (usually in my experience with it) meaning you'll also need to realign the handle bars a bit. That's a bit more pain in the butt than the type on the Verve but you're reward is a very stiff stem and very close to being like a non adjustable one in performance.

I originally bought this stem because I didn't know exactly what I wanted (length and angle) in a stem and I figured, OK, I'll give it a try, experiment with it a bit and then I'd replace it with a one piece when I figured out what I wanted. Well, turns out this one is so close to being a one piece along with not giving me any of those creaky noises the single screw adjustable stems often have when you're riding , I ended up keeping it. Here it is a year later and I have no intention of taking it off.

I bought an adjustable that was good but not the best. When I found what angle I wanted I replaced it with a one piece. The adjustable was a solid piece but I like the idea of a solid piece securing my handle bars to my steerer tube. Just my opinion and I am sure the above mentioned piece is solid.
