Vote: Black or Silver Seatpost
Not the best picture (yet) but I want input from the forum. I'm will be putting on a Thomson Elite seatpost, but can't decide on silver or black. The bike has nice chromed chain and seat stays and silver bits all over. However the fork, rims, and lettering are black. What is the OCP thing to do here?

I think silver looks good now, and matches the silver quill stem and the white saddle.

Or not....it's a beautiful bike nonetheless.

To go with your white saddle, white bar tape, and silver(-ish) quill stem? No question: seatpost has to be silver.

See, therein lies the problem. The stem is a really odd titianium like color...it didn't come out too clear in this picture though. It's a kind of greyish dark, metalic color (as are the bars by the way). I do intend to redo the front end with a threadless set up next year and retire the quill.

Please do not retire the quill. The right quill can be soooo sexy. Get a silver one if you must but don't go threadless. Not on this frame. If anything, find the chrome steel fork that originally came with the frame and retire the carbon one. Then you'll have a something really special.
If it's about the weight, you're working with the wrong frame.

It's pretty sexy already though. I love that frame.
