I usually freeze a 3rd bottle in my jersey this last week it was over 80% humidity so I was hurting, I also put a pinch of salt in that bottle.

https://www.chillypad.com/ or something similar on the internet. There are plenty of knockoffs and this one might not even be the original. Basically it's this new thing where people have taken a material that is similar to a chamois you use to clean your car. It retains the water but stays relatively dry to the touch. It lasts for about 1 - 4 hours depending on conditions. and the best part is that if it isn't cool any more just pour water on it. wring it out. and bam. it's relatively long and thin so you can drape it over your neck or maybe even tie it around your head.
i definitely recommend them.

Doesn't work for me. Tried them, and just doesn't keep me as cool as without. I sweat a lot. Even in dry heat, which we admittedly don't get much of here in New England.
Full zip jersey, unzipped on the climbs, just the bottom done up on the flats. Drink, drink, drink. Let evaporative cooling do it's thing. It's incredibly efficient.

The podium ice water bottles work great. Store the fluids that you take in the refrigator. Pack the bottles with ice and add your fluids. Plan your route so there is a convience store at the half way point. Stop a get a popcicle and fill up your bottles if needed.
