Hello from Plainfield, IN (West Indianapolis) USA
Hello everyone. I was always an avid rider my youth, my Raleigh and I logged many miles around my Northern Illinois hometown and surrounding cities. I strayed away from that as I grew older, but have made my way back. Initially, I started riding again to lose weight. Now that I'm down 70 pounds and in probably the fittest shape I've ever been in, I can seem to stop. Presently, I have 2 bikes, a carbon Motobecane road bike and a Trek mountain bike, and ride about 150 miles or 8 hours a week; the majority of that with my road bike on the weekend. I'm currently training to participate in the Hilly Hundred in southern Indiana this October and plan to start racing next year.
I really enjoy being out in the fresh air and being able to take in new scenery. I also like pushing myself to find my limits and then surpassing them. I've stopped by the forums as a guest to get advise on different upgrades for my road bike; thanks for all the help. I'm planning on returning the love.
