Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hey guys, cleat question!

Hey everyone, been a long time!

Sadly work has taken myself and my lovely wife off the bikes for a long time and we're trying to get back out there this year. To get a base fitness plan started, we have ordered a Peloton. I know it comes with Look pedals, I wont be using those.

We have the original Speedplay Light Action's on all our bikes. I see Speedplay has a new Ultra Light Action with a different looking cleat. I cant seem to find a straight answer about what works with what. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Worst case scenario is I pick up a used set of Light Actions or take a set off our tandem (Which is for sale!) but figured Id explore all options if we're really going to get back out there this year.

Thanks!!

Speedplay Ultra Light Action Cleats are compatible with Speedplay Ultra Light Action pedals ONLY. They will not work with any other style of Speedplay pedals.

I guess I should have been more specific. Are the pedals compatible with the non ultra light action cleats?

Are the pedals
"The" being the Look on the Peleton or the Speedplay light action on your bikes?

Im going to rephrase this again

Can I use a set of SpeedPlay Ultra Light Action pedals with the old Light Action cleats. Speedplay's site seems to indicate I can, I just cant get a reply from their tech support to verify that.
