Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Im getting married thanks to BikeForums

This Saturday is the Eastern NC MS Bike event. Before the ride starts, I am getting married to my wonderful fiance Erica known here as BikingMILF. We actually met here on BikeForums when she was getting into road cycling from mountain biking. She joined the group I ride with and now here we are.

We have Ron Shirley from the TruTV show Lizard Lick Towing coming down to perform the ceremony for us. Ronnie's business is a few miles up the road from where we live and when we discovered he was a minister, he was the obvious choice for us. LOL

So, anyone that happens to be attending the event, the ceremony will be held at the Selma Cyclepath tent at 7:30AM. Shameless plug, anyone that wants to donate a wedding gift to my MS ride, here's my link.

https://secure3.convio.net/nmss/site...&PROXY_TYPE=20

Here's the happy couple after Warrior Dash in Charlotte last weekend.

So, thanks Bikeforums. I knew cycling would change my life, I just didn't realize to what extent.

Does your future wife know you're posting dirty pictures of her on the internet?

Congratulations! My wife and I have been cycling together since we were teens, that's going on 30 years now.

A tandem makes a great anniversary gift, by the way.

Well, at least you won't have to explain the N+1 equation to her...

Congratulations and Best Wishes for a Long and Happy Union!

BTW, I think that the town of Lizard Lick, NC has second most distinctive name in the state, the first being Tick Bite, NC.

LOL we already have a tandem. We were thinking about rockin' it at the MS150, but people just don't know how to ride in a paceline around a tandem and we didn't want the additional stress. Matching pink Pinarellos it will have to be. Oh darn, LOL

And sweetie, 10 years IS far apart. Who you trying to fool?

Fixed that for ya. That's how you keep the rubber side down for many years to come. Just go with it.

I was about to write something about her moniker, but on second thought, I'd rather not.
Now seriously, congrats!

If we're to be honest - we all thought it. I saw a plate the other day with 1MILF. You just gotta peek through the window to see what's driving. Lol

By the way, the DMV is always last to know and catch on to these things. I hear MILF is not an allowed personalized plate anymore.
