Rotor 3D+ Inpower firmware upgrade failed
Hi all,
Tried to upgrade my Rotor 3D+ Inpower meter from Ver 2.201 to Ver 2.202 The update failed and now the power meter corrupt. Can still connect with the Inpower software V2.1 & 2.2, but the power meter seems to be stuck in an upload state. Tried reflashing multiple times, but fails to complete. Have had advice from Rotor Support, but nothing they have suggested has helped.
Does any one have an old copy of Inpower software Ver1.4 and previous firmware versions for the 3D+ Inpower meter.
Was working fine with Ver 2.201 firmware before upgrade.
Using a Cycplus Ant+ USB stick in my Win 10 Pro laptop.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Brian.

I just quickly borrowed a Garmin ANT+ from my friend. Yet I still face the same error.
Could you share with me where did you download your Ver2.202 firmware or would you just share your fw file to me?
I got it from here: rotoramerica.com/pages/power-meter-support
Thanks again.

It works now! I have to put the Garmin ANT+ USB stick directly kissing the power crank so that the firmware file could successfully transfer over.
To be safe, I also turned off my Symantec protection just in case it blocks any data transfer.
Hopefully our posts here will be helpful to other Rotor 3D+ INPower users.
Thanks again for your tips and assistance!
You're just my hero of the day!

Hi John,
Great to here. The Garmin ANT+ USB stick is a type M, which is critical to work with the Rotor power meter and software.

Brian.

Easier solution....
Hi all, thanks for thr helpful discussion, however I have found a much easier hack to get the PM to update firmware.
1) Do everything you are supposed to do to set up (connect software etc)
2) place your laptop right next to your powermeter (as close as you can.
3) upload firmware.
After 10-15 attempts and fails with the laptop on my turbo stand I tried this and it worked first time, with my cheap amazon ANT stick.
